Data ownership & retention

Your school owns your data
Every record in Mullahc Edu v2 (learner details, results, attendance, fees, health notes, messages and homework) belongs to the school that entered it. Mullahc only stores and processes it on the school's behalf.
Your school keeps it
The school decides how long records are kept. Many records must be kept by law or for the learner's benefit, for example:
- report cards and results, which a learner may need years later,
- fee receipts and accounts, which must be kept for tax and audit,
- leaving certificates and admission records.
When you leave the school or delete your sign-in, these records stay with the school. Removing your account removes your access; it does not erase the school's records.
When a school stops using Mullahc Edu v2
The school can export all of its data at any time. If a school closes its account, its data is kept for a limited period so it can be exported or restored, then deleted.
